Our back to school special is still in full swing to the end of September. This means for new members you can get a 4 month membership and a gi for the $350, a $500 value. If you have a child, a 4 month membership is reduced to $150, a $250 value. And for all current members we have Gi’s in select sizes available for $125, a $200 value.

Gi Classes
In an effort to promote well rounded Jiu Jitsu, we are bringing in Gi classes. Starting the week of September 21st, we will do a week of Gi classes. The following week will be NoGi classes. Switching back and forth from now on. Don’t have a gi? Take advantage of the back to school special and buy directly from us!
Gi experience will be mandatory for those looking to get promoted in the future.
OJA Provincials
The 2015 OJA Ontario Provincial Championships are being held in Peterborough at Trent University on the first weekend of December. This is the first time that an event for Jiu Jitsu has been held in Peterborough. We would like to have a large representation from our club there to support and compete. Registration will open in October, and you can get details via the Facebook Event,
Follow us on Facebook, as we will offer additional mat time for those that are interested in competing. That mat time will be used primarily for drilling and competition training, limited teaching will be done during that time.
Note: Please let us know if you’re interested in hosting any of our teammates from outside of town, some of which will be travelling a long distance to compete.
Monkey Seminar
We are excited to welcome back Prof. Richard “Monkey” Nancoo for another seminar! Open to everyone, regardless of affiliation or experience. This is a Gi seminar taught by the Founder and leader of Troop BJJ.
Prof. Nancoo is a Blackbelt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Sylvio Behring. He has decades worth of martial arts and fighting experience. Anyone that has attended his seminars in the past has always come away with something of value! And remember, we always have a small gathering after these seminars that everyone who attends is welcome!
