Over the weekend we had several students compete in the round robin Grappling Industries event at Toronto’s Ryerson University. Everybody competed really well, and showed some great technique and heart. Results are as follows:

NoGi – 11 – 12 years old Open – ALL Belt – 75- Braydin Patching : 1-2 Bronze
Gi – Master Male – White Belt – 170 Raymond Patching : 2 – 0 Gold
Gi – Adult Male – Blue Belt – 145 Drew Wood : 2 – 2
Gi – Adult Male – White Belt – 170 Quinten Daling : 1-3
NoGi – Adult Female – Beginner Belt – 150 Jolene Tanner : 2 -1 Silver
NoGi – Master Male – Beginner Belt – 190 Mike Meldrum : 4 – 0 Gold
NoGi – Adult Male – Intermediate Belt – 145 Drew Wood : DNC (injured)
NoGi – Adult Male – Beginner Belt – 170 Quinten Daling : 2 – 2
The next GI Event is the January 14 event, also at Ryerson University. The next Tournament in the province is the yearly Provincial Championship at the Unionville Markham Pan AM Center.
This Saturday – regular classes will be cancelled because we are having a seminar with 10th Planet Black Belt Scott Epstein.
