This weekend we had five people representing us at the Grappling Industries Toronto: Pans Edition at Ryerson University.
Dave E, competing in his first tournament, competed in NoGi Beginner Adult Featherweight and had 1 submission but was outpointed in his other matches.
Josh S competed in Gi White Belt Lightweight going 2 – 2 and in NoGi Intermediate Lightweight and went 3 – 2 taking bronze.
Katie B competed in Gi White Belt over 136 pounds going 1 – 3 against very experienced fighters and in NoGi Beginner over 136 pounds taking bronze.
Trevor F (aka Butters) competed in NoGi Intermediate Featherweight and took bronze in a deep division.
Tim G competed in NoGi Advanced Super Heavyweight and took Silver, having one loss by points and two wins by submission.
Sudbury Troop BJJ Jean-Marc L had a great day; Gi Purple/Brown Medium Heavy Gold, Absolute Gi Silver and NoGi Medium Heavy Advance Silver.
We are proud of everyone who competes and represents our team with skill, spirit and sportsmanship – regardless of outcome. Congratulations everyone.
